Elaina Killeen is a Washington, DC-based video editor and producer with a decade of experience telling stories that inform, inspire, and occasionally make you laugh. She currently edits television series, digital features, ad campaigns, and social content for National Geographic Channel, Disney+, Hulu, and YouTube — with select projects including Primate Planet, The Incredible Dr. Pol, NatGeo Now, and Make-A-Wish.

Previously, Elaina was the lead story producer at USA TODAY, where she helped shape the voice and visual direction of Just the FAQs, a flagship explainer series averaging 2 million views per video. She’s also collaborated with the National Geographic Society, TED, the Aspen Institute, VICE, and the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Biology Institute — specializing in science, culture, and human-centered storytelling.

When she’s not editing, Elaina is probably rearranging her apartment for the fifth time this month, hunting down vintage furniture, or overanalyzing beauty culture on YouTube. She believes the best stories are the ones that make people feel a little more connected — and maybe laugh at themselves along the way.
